an object has moved throughout a distance can it have zero displacement? if yes support your answer with an example​

Answer:Yes, an object can travel a distance but still can have zero diaplacement.

Explanation:When a runner covers one round of a circular track, then he/she has covered circumference distance but he/she has come to his/her starting point so the displacement becomes zero.

Of course, it can have a zero displacement!

we can define displacement as " shortest distance between initial and final points"

(Refer the below picture)

Now imagine an object moving to point  A with  distance of 3m north and then to point B with a distance of 3m west and then to point C with a distance of 3m south and then returning back to point A.

Now the distance would be equal to 12m

But the displacement equal to 0m because the object returned to same position where it started hence the shortest distance between initial and final points become ZERO.
