Answer. Lateral inversion in a plane mirrormeans if any object is standing in front of a plane mirror, than right part of object will appear as the left side of image , and the left part of object willappear as right side of its image which is formed on the plane mirror.

The image formed by a plain mirror is always virtual , upright and of the same shape and size as the object it is reflecting. If a person is reflected in a plain mirror, the image of his right hand appears to be the left hand of the mirror
