an object is 3cm high is placed at a distance of 15 cm from a concave mirror the radius curvature is 20cm.find the nature ,position and size of image.
(v=-30cm,m=-2,h2=-6)​

u=-15cm

f=-10cm

by mirror formula

1/f=1/v+1/u

1/f-1/u=1/v

1/-10-(1/-15)=1/v

1/-10+1/15=1/v

-3+2/30=1/v

-1/30=1/v

there fore v= -30 cm

position of the image is 30 cm from mirror

-ve sign shows that it is in front of the mirror

m=-v/u

m=-(-30)/-15

m=-2

therefore nature of image is 2

h2/h1=m

h2/3=-2

h2=-6cm

there fore height of image is 6 cm
