An object is allowed to fall freely from a cliff. When it travels a distance 'h' its velocity is v. Hence, in travelling further distance of .............. its velocity will become 2v.

For height h v sq. = u sq + 2gh

U=0

Therefore

vsq = 2 g h

And h = v sq / 2g.------@

Now . Let i height x its velocity

becomes 2v .

At this point u = v .

v = 2 v

Therefore (2v) sq = vsq + 2 g h .

And x = 3 v sq / 2 g ---------2@
