Given,

u = 10 cm

The object is placed before the lense so we will put negitave sign.

f = 20 cm

We will take it as a positive because the focal length is always positive.

Formula we will use here:-

1/f = 1/v-1/u

=> 1/20=1/v-1/-10

1/v= 1/20+1/10

1/v=1/20-1/10=1/-20

v= -20

We got the value of we which is -20.
