Dear user if the number of protons is changed in an atom then the atomic number of the element changes which happens only in nuclear fission and nuclear fussion reaction. So the electrons will be removed .Hope it helps you

Answer: It has been experimentally assured that silk acquires negative charge. Therefore, electrons have been TRANSFERRED (REMOVED) from the object to silk.
Also, never can be protons moved. So there's no question of adding protons as they are found in the interior of the atom.
