The work done by the force in the process is  -9J

Given force, F = 2i + 3j + 4k N

and point A = 2i + 3j + 4k

and point B = 1i + 2j + 3k.

Since object is displaced from A to B, the displacement vector,

  • X = B - A  = -1 - 2 i + 2 - 3 j + 3 - 4 k  = -1i -j - k

The work done = F.X

F.X = ( 2i + 3j + 4k).(  -i - j - k ) = -2 -3 - 4 = -9J
