acceleration due to gravity (a or g ) = 9.8 ms^-1

Height (s) = 19.6 m

Initial velocity (u) = 0 ms^-1

S= ut + 0.5 at^2

S = 0t + 0.5 X9.8 X t X t

19.6 = 4.9 X t^2

t^2 = 4

Taking Square root on both sides

t = 2 s

v = u + at

v = 0 + 9.8X2

v = 19.6 m

t = 1 ;

v= 9.8 ms-1

t=2 ;

v= 19.6 ms -1
