Given - Height and time

Find - Acceleration due to gravity

Solution - We will be using the equation of motion-

S = ut + 1/2at². In the formula, S is displacement, u is initial velocity, a is acceleration and t is time.

The initial velocity will be 0, so ut = 0.

Keep the values in formula to find the acceleration due to gravity.

50 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times a \times  {2}^{2}

Taking square

50 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times a \times  {4}

Performing division

50 =  a \times  {2}

Shifting 2 to other side of equation

a =  \frac{50}{2}

Performing division

a = 25 m/s².

Acceleration due to gravity of unknown planet is 25 m/.
