Answer:

  • Final Velocity of the object is 50 m/s.

Unknown :

  • Final Velocity = ?

Procedure :

  • Initial Velocity = 20 m/s
  • Time taken = 3 seconds
  • Acceleration = 10 m/s²

According to Question now,

By Using first equation of motion we get

→ v = u + at

Where,

  • v = Final Velocity
  • u = Initial Velocity
  • t = Time taken
  • a = Acceleration

Subsitute the given values in above given formula

→ v = 20 + 10(3)

→ v = 20 + 30

v = 50 m/s

Therefore,the Final Velocity of the object is 50 m/s.

The final velocity of the object after 3 seconds is equal to 50 ms⁻¹.

Given:

The initial speed of the object (u) = 20 m/s

Time (t) = 3 second

Acceleration due to gravity (g) = 10 ms⁻²

To Find:

The final velocity of the object after 3 seconds.

Solution:

Let the final velocity of the block after 3 seconds be 'v'.

The initial speed of the object (u) = 20 m/s

Acceleration due to gravity (g) = 10 ms⁻²

→ The initial velocity (u) and the downward acceleration due to gravity (g) both are in the same direction. Hence the direction of 'u' as well as 'g' both would be considered positive.

Using the 1st Equation of motion: v = u + at

   The\:1st\:Equation\:of\:Motion:v=u+at\\\\\therefore v= 20+g\times(3)\\\\\therefore v=20+10\times3\\\\\therefore v=20+30\\\\\therefore v=50\:ms^{-1}

Therefore it can be said that the final velocity of the object after 3 seconds is equal to 50 ms⁻¹.
