increases uniformly at the rate of 10 m/s2

, with what velocity will it

strike the ground? After what time will it strike the ground?

Answer:

h = 45 m

Acceleration (a) = 10 m/s²

Final Velocity (v) = 0 m/s

v² = u²+2ah

0 = u²+2(10*45)

0 = u²+900

-900 = u²

i. - 30 m/s = u

Initial Velocity is negative because it is moving downwards.

v = u+at

0 = -30+10t

30 = 10t

ii. 3 seconds = t

Hope This Helps.
