An object is held at 30 cm in front of a convex mirror of length focal length 15
cm. At what distance from the convex should a plane mirror be held so that
images in the two mirrors coincide with each other?

AND

A concave lens made of a material of refractive index 'p, 'is kept in a medium of
refractive index 'u'. A parallel beam of light is incident on the lens. Complete the
path of the rays if (a) P less than u.

Answer:

object distance = -30cm

image distance = ?

focal length = ?

by mirror formula

1/v 1/u = 1/f

1/v -1/30 = -1/15

1/v = -1/15+1/30

-2+1/30= -1/30
