Weight loss will be more in sea water because it contains many particles and has a smaller density as compare to distilled water.

If an object is submerged completely in sea water it will lose more weight.

It is so because the objects submerged in sea water are way more buoyant than that of objects submerged in salt water.

The reason behind this is the fact that salt water is denser and buoyant than fresh water.

Buoyancy refers to an upward force which is equal to the weight of water that is displaced by the object.
