F = ma
∴ a = F/m
vf = vi + at
= vi + F/m . t
= 0 + 10/4 . 8
= 20m/s

- Initial velocity = 0
- Force applied = 10 N
- Time = 8 seconds
- Mass = 4 kg
To find:-
- Velocity of the car when force is removed from the object
Formulae used:-
- Velocity = Displacement * Time
- s = ut + 1/2 at²
( where s = Displacement, u = initial velocity, t = time, a = acceleration )
3. Force = Mass * Acceleration
Solution:-
- Force = Mass * Acceleration
10 = 4 * Acceleration
10÷4 = acceleration
Acceleration = 2.5 m/s²
- s = ut + 1/2 at²
s = 0 * 8 + 1/2 * 2.5 * 8²
s = 0 + 1.25 * 64
Displacement = 80 m
- Velocity = Displacement * Time
Velocity = 80 ÷ 8
Velocity = 10 m/s
If the force is removed from the object then the velocity acquired will be 10 m/s
