We will use the mirror formula.

1/f = 1/u + 1/v

f = 20 cm

v = 40 cm

1/20 = 1/u + 1/40

1/u = 1/20 - 1/40

1/u = (2 - 1) / 40

1/u = 1/40

The image distance is 40 cm

Since the image position is positive the image is real.
