An object is kept at 60 CM in front of a plane mirror. If the mirror is now moved 25 CM away from the object how does the image shift from its previous position?

Explanation:

Suppose a plane mirror is kept at 60cm in front of an object. Now the position of the image made by the mirror is (60x2)= 120cm (inside the mirror) from the object. As shown is the figure, If we move the mirror 25cm from the object then it wil make the distance of mirror-object 60+25=85cm

So the new image of the object will be created at (85x2)=170cm away from the object.

Now we can say that the image will shift (170-120)= 50cm away from the previous position (As shown in the picture).
