An object is kept at a distance of 5cm in front of a canvex mirror of a focal lenth 10cm. Calculate the position and magnification of the image and state its nature.​

from the formula of convex mirror..

  =  > \frac{1}{v}  +  \frac{1}{u}  =  \frac{1}{f}  \\

here...u=-5cm,f=10cm

therefore...

 \frac{1}{v}  +  \frac{1}{ - 5}  =  \frac{1}{10}  \\  =  >  \frac{1}{v}  =  \frac{1}{10}  +  \frac{1}{5}  \\  =  >  \frac{1}{v}  =  \frac{3}{10}  \\  =  > v =  \frac{10}{3}  \\

therefore.

m  =  -  \frac{v}{u}  =  -  \frac{ \frac{10}{3} }{ - 5}  =  \frac{10}{15}   \\  =  > m =  \frac{2}{3}
