an object is moving 21 m in 40 sec Calculate the distance travelled and displacement of the object at the end of 2 min and 20 sec

speed = distance / time = 21 / 40 = 0.525 m/s

distance = speed × time

Here time = 2 min 20 sec = 2 × 60 + 20 = 140 seconds

distance = 0.525 × 140 = 73.5 meter

considering the distance is travelled in a straight line

Hence, displacement = distance = 73.5 meter
