An object is moving 3 km in north direction then turns East to move 6 km,again turns north to move 5 km.Calculate displacement and distance covered by the object.

Distance travelled by the object=3+6+5=14km
Displacement of the object is the smallest distance from initial position to the final position,
Here according to ur question displacement is √3^2+6^2= √45 =6.7
Displacement =6.7-5 =1.7km
