since, an object is moving 1/4 of the circle
So, distance is
1/4 × 2πr
= 1/2πr unit
and displacement is -
according to above figure
By Pythagoras theory
AB = √r^2+r^2
=> AB = r√2 unit.
Hence, displacement is r√2 unit .
