given,

An object is moving in a circular path of diameter 20 metre. It covers 2.5 rounds of the circle.

to find: its distance

solution:

if diameter of circle is 'd' = 20 m. then,

Distance travelled = 2 rounds of circle + 0.5 round of circle

or, Distance travelled = 2*circumference of circle + 1/2 of circumference

or, Distance travelled = 2*πd + (1/2) *πd

or, distance travelled = 2*3.14*20 + (1/2) * 3.14*20

or, distance travelled = 157 m
