An object is moving with a velocity of 6m/s and with an acceleration of -1m/s square. What will be the. (a) distance travelled before coming to rest (b) tine taken for coming to rest??

u=6 m/s

when then the body become rest then final velocity=0m/s

acc= -1m/s

then ,

time= v-u/a

=0-6/-1

=6sec

when acc is uniform

distance =[ v+u/2] *t

=(6/2)6

=18 m
