an object is place at a distance of 15cm infront of conversing mirror of focal length 20cm. find the position of image and also find its nature​

Given :-

• Object distance (u) = -15cm
• Focal length (f) = -20cm

To find :-

• Image distance
• Nature of image

Solution :-

According to the Mirror Formula

→ 1/v + 1/u = 1/f

→ 1/v + (-1)/15 = -1/20

→ 1/v - 1/15 = - 1/20

→ 1/v = 1/15 - 1/20

→ 1/v = 4 - 3/60

→ 1/v = 1/60

→ v = +60cm

Hence,

• Image distance = + 60cm
• Nature of image = Virtual and erect {(+) shows image formed virtual and erect}
