An object is placed 13cm away from a concave lens of focal length 15cm .find the position, size and nature of the image

\huge\underline{\underline{\ Answer}}

u = distance of object = - 13 cm

f = focal length = - 15 cm

By using lens formula...

 \implies \frac{1}{f}  =  \frac{1}{v}  +  \frac{1}{u}  \\ \implies  \frac{1}{v}  =  \frac{1}{f}  -  \frac{1}{u}  \\  \implies  \frac{1}{v}  =  \frac{1}{15}   - ( -  \frac{1}{13} ) \\  \implies {v}  = 6.96cm

 \\  \implies  magnification =  \frac{ - v}{u}  \\  \implies m =  \frac{ \cancel {- 6.96}}{  \cancel{- 15}}  \\  \implies m = 0.464

So, image is diminished real and inverted (as magnification is +ve)
