explanation : object distance , u = -40cm

focal length of concave mirror, f = -20cm

use formula, 1/v + 1/u = 1/f

or, 1/v + 1/-40 = /-20

or, 1/v = 1/40 - 1/20

or, 1/v = 1/40 - 2/40 = 1/-40

hence, v = - 40cm

magnification, m = -v/u = -(-40)/-40 = -1

negative sign indicates that image is real and inverted and size of image is size of object.

hence the image formed is Real , inverted and same in size.
