An object is placed at 0.06m from a convex lens of focal length 0.1m . calculate the position of the image.

Converting the metric to centimetres from metres=> f= 0.1m = 10cm and u= -0.06m = -6cm

Substituting the values in the formula:

= 1/10-1/6

= 3/30-5/30

= -2/30

v = -30/2

v = -15cm

or v = -0.15m

Therefore, the image will be formed at 0.15m from the lens towards the object.
