Answer:

Given,

Type of Spherical Mirror = Convex

Object Distance (u) = -45 cm

[Value taken as negative because object is placed on opposite side of shiny part of convex mirror]

Radius of Curvature (R) = +30 cm

Focal Length (f) = R/2

= +30/2 cm

= +15 cm

Let's take image distance as v cm.

According to equation,

= 1/f = 1/v+1/u

= 1/15 = 1/v - 1/45

= 1/15 + 1/45 = 1/v

= ( 3 + 1 )/45 = 1/v

= 4/45  = 1/v

= 45/4 cm = v

= 11.25 cm = v

The Image is formed at 11.25 cm away from the pole of the mirror.

The Image is virtual as the light rays appear to meet in a convex mirror.

The Image is diminished in size like it is in a convex mirror.

I hope this helps.
