An object is placed at 50 cm from a concave mirror of radius 60 cm find image distance

It is Given that

u = -50 cm (object distance is always negative)

and Center of curvature (C)= 60 cm

so Focal length (F) = -30 cm (C=2F)

Focal length of concave mirror is always negative

and let v be the image distance

Now according to mirror formula

1/F = 1/u + 1/v

-1/30 = -1/50 + 1/v

after calculation

v= -75 cm

Negative sign indicate it a real and inverted Image
