QUESTION ---- An object is placed at a distance of 0.75 m in front of a plane mirror. If the object is moved 125 cm away from the mirror. Find the distance between the object and the image formed by the mirror

ANSWER
____________________________

We know that the distance between object and mirror as well as distance between image and mirror is always equal.

So if an object is at 0.75 m then its image will also be 0.75 m away from the mirror.

So the total distance between the object and mirror will become 0.75 + 0.75 = 1.5 m
_____________________________

If object is moved 125 cm OR 1.25 m away then its distance from mirror will be 1.25 + 0.75
= 2m

If the distance between object and mirror is 2 m then distance between image and mirror will be equal to 2 m.

So the total distance between the object and the image = 2 + 2

=> 4 m

ANSWER = 4 m
