An object is placed at a distance of 10 cm on the principal axis of a convex lens whose focal length is less than 10 cm the image of it observer at a distance of 30 cm from the lens find the nature and magnification of image. ​

u =  -10 cm

as it is a convex lens ,then

f =  +10 cm

therefore object is at f1

v = +30 cm

let magnificaton be m

m =  v/u

m =  30/-10

m =  -3

therefore magnification is -3

and as magnification is -3 so the nature of image is inverted and real
