an object is placed at a distance of 12 cm from a concave mirror the image formed is real and 4 times greater than the object calculate the distance of image formed in front of concave mirror ​

use magnification formula of

hi/h○= -V/U

where hi height of image

h○ height of object

V image distance

U object distance

here it is given that U= -12 (-ve because object is real)

hi/ho=4/1

-V/U=4/1

-V/-12=4/1

V=12×4=48

hence V=48 cm

nature of image = Virtual,large in size and erecte
