An object is placed at a distance of 12 cm from a convex lens of focal length 8 cm. Find :
1) the position of the image
nature of the image
and nature of the image

Given :

Object distance , u = 8 cm

focal length : + 8 cm

Now position of image i.e image distance : v cm

By lens formula ,

$\mathcal{ 1/f = 1/v - 1/u }$

$\mathcal{ 1/v = 1/8 + 1/8}$

$\mathcal{ 1/v = 1/4 }$

Therefore , $\mathcal{\pink{ v = 4 }}$

Nature of Image = Virtual , erect and diminished ____
