GIVEN; DISTANCE OF OBJECT FROM LENS = 12 CM = U

FOCAL LENGTH OF LENS= 18 CM = F

TO FIND; DISTANCE OF IMAGE FROM CONVEX LENS = V

SOLUTION;

NOW, BY USING LEN' S FORMULA ;

1/U + 1/V = 1/F

1/12 + 1/V = 1/18

1/V = 1/18 -1/12

1/V = 2 /36 - 3/36

1/V =. -1 /36

V = 36/-1. = -36

SO ,DISTANCE. OF IMAGE FROM LENS IS -36 CM ,WHICH MEANS THE NATURE OF IMAGE IS VIRTUAL ,SMALLER THEN OBJECT.
