An object is placed at a distance of 25cm in front of a convex lens whose focal length is 5cm find position nature of a image​

Date: Converging lens, f= 10 , u =-25 cm h1=5cm v=? h2=?

(i) 1f=1v−1u∴1v=1f+1u

∴1v=110cm+1−25cm=110cm−125cm

=5−250cm=350cm

∴ Image distance ,v=503cm

÷16.67cm÷16.7cm This gives the position of the image.

(ii) h2h1=vu∴h2=vuh1

∴h2=(503)cm−25CM×5cm=−50×525×3cm

=−103cm÷−3.333cm

÷−3.3 cm

The height of the image =- 3.3 cm ( inverted image )  therefore ` minus sign .

(iii) The image is real , invreted and smaller than the object .
