image distance, v = ?

according to mirror formula

1/f = 1/v+ 1/u

1/12= 1/v + 1/8

1/v = 1/12 - 1/8

1/v = 8-2/24

1/v = 6/24

1/v = 1/4

v = 4 cm

therefore, image distance is 4cm
