and by mirror formula ,

1/f=1/v+1/u

= 1/(-10)=1/v+(1/(-8))

=  -1/10=1/v -1/8

= -1/10+1/8= 1/v

= ((-4 )+ 5)/40=1/v

= 1/40=1/v

= v=40 cm

so image is at 40 cm behind mirror, it is virtual erect and enlarged.
