As a general rule, the number of images will be one less than the value 360÷x where x is the angle between two mirrors. (Assuming one edge touching each other)

Eg.

●Suppose the angle of inclination between mirrors is 120 degree.

360÷120 gives 3

Out of 3 parts, one is the object itself. So the images formed will be 3 - 1 = 2

●Suppose the angle of inclination between mirrors is 100 degree.

360÷100 gives 3.6

Out of 3.6 parts, one is the object itself. So the images formed will be 3.6 - 1 =2.6

This means two complete images and the third image will be seen as only 60% part of the complete object.

(360/thita)-1 is the no of images formed
