an object is placed on a distance of 60cm from a convene mirror where magnification is 1/2 where the object is placed to get magnification of 1/3.

magnification = f/f+u

1/2 =f/f+60

f +60 = 2f

f = 60cm

now in case 2nd

given magnification.. = 1/3

1/3 = 60/60+ u

60+ u = 180

u = 120cm
