Answer:

pliz mark mr

Explanation:

We know, g = 9.8 m/(s^2).

Let, the stone will travel upward for t seconds. At the end of upward motion, it's speed will be 0 m/s.

So, 0 = 19.6 - (9.8)*t

t = 2.

In this 2 second spell, it will go up by

{19.6*2 - (1 / 2)*(9.8)*(2^2)} metres = 19.6 metres.

So, while going down, it will be a free fall from (58.8 + 19.6) metres = 78.4 metres.

Let, the downward travel lasts for T seconds.

So, 78.4 = 0*T + (1 / 2)*(9.8)*(T^2)

(T^2) = (78.4) / (4.9) = 16

T = 4.

So, after (t + T) seconds = 6 seconds of throwing the stone upward, it will reach the foot of the tower.
