yes when you push an object you are applying some force on the objects to the object Moves the direction in which the force is being applied but after sometime the object get stop the object slows down its movement because there is a non contact force that is the force which is not directly attaching to the object but it is applying some force that is the gravitational of the frictional force acting on the object but when you are pushing you are touching the object to move it so it is contact force and after sometime there not even after sometime but at the same time there will be some frictional and gravitational force acting on the body which is non contact force.

so when an object is post on the earth and the object starts moving in this force of contact and noncontact force applied at the same time.

This is a contact force because the object and the agent applying force are in contact .
