(a) By the formula of time

t=(2h/g)^1/2 (t is time taken to come to earth)

h=500m

g=10m/s^2

putting value we get t=10second

(b)by the formula

R=ut (R is horizontal distance)

given

u=200m/s and t=10sec

putting value we get

R=2000metre
