Solution:-As we know,,lens formula=

 \frac{1}{v}  -  \frac{1}{u} =  \frac{1}{f}  \\ since \: here \: u =  \frac{ - f}{2} ........( negative \: side \: shows \: that \: objct \: is \: on \:  \\ left \: of \: mirror \\  \frac{1}{v} -  \frac{1}{  \frac{ - f}{2} }   =  \frac{1}{f} \\  \frac{1}{v} =  \frac{1}{f} -  \frac{2}{f}   \\  \frac{1}{v}  =  -  \frac{1}{f}  \\v =  - f \\ hence \: the \: object \: will \: be \: at \: distance \: of \:  f \:  \\ from \: the \:   mirror \: and \: the \: negative \: sign \: shows \:  \\ it \: is \: on \: left \: side
