GIVEN :-

  • Initial velocity , u = 0 m/s. [ starting from rest ]
  • Acceleration , a = 5 m/s².
  • Time , t = 3s.

TO FIND :-

  • velocity after 3 seconds , v.

SOLUTION :-

As we know that ,

Acceleration = (Final - initial velocity)/time

➳ a = (v - u)/t

Substituting all the given values,

➳ 5 m/s² = (v - 0)/3

➳ 5 × 3 = v - 0

➳ 15 = v - 0

➳ 15 + 0 = v

➳ 15 = v

Hence velocity after 3 seconds is 15 m/s.

Verification,

➳ 5 m/s² = (15 - 0)/3

➳ 5 = 15/3

➳ 5 = 5

Hence Verified.

An object is starting from the rest travels with an acceleration of 5m/s. What will be its velocity after 3s.

\huge \mathbb{\boxed{\red{Given\:}}}

  • The object has started from rest and it accelerates of 5m/s².
  • We have to find the velocity after

\huge \mathbb{\boxed{\red{Solution\:}}}

u = 0 ; t = 3sec ; a = 5m/s² ; v = ?

a = acceleration

u = initial velocity

v = final velocity

s = distance

t = time

We have to use the first equation of motion to find the final velocity.

➣ v = u + at

➣ v = 0 + 5 × 3

➣ v = 15m/s

Hence the final velocity of the object is 15m/s.

Verification:-

v = u + at

15 = 0 + 5(3)

15 = 15
