Here is the answer of your question
an object is thrown upward then ,final velocity (v)=0 ,initial velocity (u)=3m/s,
time (t)=5sec.
Height (s)=?
To find S, we find acceleration
V=u+at
0=3+a×5
-3=5a
-3/5=a
using second equation of motion
S=ut+1/2×a×t square
S=3×5+1/2×-3/5×5 square
S=15-3/10×25
S=15-15/2
S=30-15÷2
S=15/2
S=7.5m/s
Hope it will help you!
