Hey Student,

◆ Answer -

ux = 18.79 m/s

uy = 6.84 m/s

● Explanation -

# Given -

u = 20 m/s

θ = 20°

# Solution -

Horizontal component of initial velocity is given by -

ux = u.cosθ

ux = 20 × cos20°

ux = 20 × 0.9397

ux = 18.79 m/s

Vertical component of initial velocity is given by -

uy = u.sinθ

uy = 20 × sin20°

uy = 20 × 0.3420

uy = 6.84 m/s

Therefore, horizontal component of initial velocity is 18.79 m/s & vertical component is 6.84 m/s.

Best luck...
