Final velocity, v = 0 m/s
Acc. due to gravity, g = -9.8 m/s^2
Height, h = 16m
From 3rd equation of motion,
 {v}^{2} -  {u}^{2} = 2gh\\ {(0)}^{2} -  {u}^{2} = 2 \times  - 9.8 \times 16 \\ 0 -  {u}^{2} =  - 31.36 \\  { - u}^{2} =  - 31.36 \\ u =  \sqrt{31.36} \\ u = 5.6m
From 1st equation of motion,
v = u + at
0 = 5.6 + (-9.8) × t
0 = 5.6 -9.8t
-5.6 = -9.8t
5.6 / 9.8 = t
0.57s = t
