Solution:-

Let the Initial Velocity be "x" m/s.

Since, Object has rised to it's Highest point.

=) Final Velocity ( v ) = 0 m/s

Given :-

  • v = 0
  • u = x m/s
  • s = 10m
  • a = -g = -10 m/s²
  • T = t

Now,

v² = u² + 2as

=) 0 = x² + 2(-10)(10)

=) x = √200

=) x = 10√2 m/s

Hence, Initial Velocity of the Object = 10√2 m/s.

(ii) Time taken to reach the Height.

=) v = u + at

=) 0 = 10√2 - 10t

=) 10t = 10√2

=) t = √2 = 1.41 seconds.
