Explanation:

h=10m , v(final velocity)= 0m/s ,g=(-9.8)m/s^2

we have to find initail velocity u=? and time t=?

From third equation of motion

v^2=u^2+2gh

0=u^2+2*(-9.8)*10

u^2= 2*9.8*10

u^2=196

u=√196

u=14 m/s

From first equation of motion

v=u+gt

t=(v-u)/g

t= (0-14)/(-9.8)

t=(-14)/(-9.8)

t=1.42 seconds
