An object is thrown vertically upwards and raise to a height of 20 m. calculate 1) the velocity with which the object was thrown upwards. 2) The time taken by the object to reach the highest point.

given that ,
 h= 20m

u=√2gh
  =√ 2 10 x 20
 =√400
=20
∴u = 20m/s
 t = u/g
  = 20/10
 = 2
∴t = 2s
