Given, h = 45 m, a = -g = - 9.8 m/s², v = 0 (At the highest point of reach, final velocity is zero)

(1) We know that, v² = u²+2gh

=> 0 = u² - 2×9.8×45

=> u² = 882

=> u = √882 = 29.7 (approx.)

(2) Time taken by the body to reach the highest point (t) = u/g = 29.7/9.8 = 3.03 seconds (approx.)

(3) The time for which it was in the air = 2u/g = 6.06 seconds (approx.)
